Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy, and going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother and they fell down and worshiped him.

When they had heard the king they went their way; and lo, the star which they had seen in the East went
before them till it came to rest over the place where the child was.

Then Herod assembled the wise men secretly and he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search
diligently for the child.”

When Herod the king heard about the birth of Jesus, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen.

But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart.

All who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them.

When they saw it they made known the saying which had been told them concerning this child.
